2026 – Alan Barasch
March 3rd, 2026, the APS announced its 2026 Awards & Honors. Long-time GMCSC member Alan Barasch was recognized with the Nicholas G. Carter Volunteer Recognition Award in the National Promotion/Service category.
- This award is presented to recognize the outstanding efforts of our volunteers at the national level. The award has been named in memory of Nick Carter, who helped establish it. Nick felt it was important to recognize those unsung heroes who contribute their talents, time and energies to benefit stamp collecting and the APS. The National Promotion/Service award is given for outstanding service and innovation to the hobby at the national level, with at least 5 years of service.
