Ace Frehley was born Paul Daniel Frehley on April 27, 1951, is a Bronx-born rock guitarist best known as the original lead guitarist and co-founder of KISS, where he created the iconic “Spaceman” persona. His explosive solos, sci-fi stage presence, and custom light-and-smoke-emitting guitars helped define the band’s theatrical style and sound.

🎸 Before he became the legendary lead guitarist for KISS, Ace Frehley had a far more grounded gig—he worked as a substitute mail carrier in New York City around 1970. This was during the years when he was still chasing his musical dreams, and the job helped him stay afloat financially while auditioning and playing in local bands.
