Club Secretary

Secretary

It has reached the time when I need to start lightening my load. In November I will reach a big birthday. I
will turn 90. I have concluded I need to turn the Secretary position over to someone younger who can
take on the job for at least a few years. I will continue as Editor of the Perf-Dispatch for a few more years,
“God willing and the creek don’t rise”, but we need someone else to be Secretary. Here are the job
responsibilities.

  1. Take the minutes at the meetings, put them into the standard format for the minutes, and send
them to the Webmaster, Pat Morgan, to include on the website.
  2. Handle the name badges. Bring them to the meetings, collect them after the meeting, and get
them back into the proper order before the next one. Print badges for new members using the
standard format, and remove them when someone drops out.
  3. Maintain the club roster, adding new members and dropping those who leave, updating the
    columns for dues payments, etc.
  4. Attend officer meetings three or four times a year.

It’s really a pretty easy job, and the best part is you earn lots of Auction Bux for doing the job. I will be
glad to talk with anyone who might be interested. All the printing is set up on Word, so not a big deal. If I
can do it, then just about anyone can.

Sincerely,
Phil Schorr
