Finally—a product designed specifically for the needs of stamp collectors. Clarity is a true innovation in the technology of expertising stamps, combining the clearest possible watermark images with safety for the stamps and the collector.

Clarity is unlike any other. Most commercial “watermark fluids” are toxic, flammable, or contain hazardous materials that are only marginally safer than the traditional solvents (such as lighter fluid and benzene) they replaced.

Clarity is the only watermarking fluid that was developed under the guidance and with the cooperation of the American Philatelic Society. Clarity is non-flammable, non-toxic, and is completely safe for the environment.

The optical properties of Clarity Watermark Fluid highlight the density changes created by a watermark or a repair, but do not allow the printed image on the face of the stamp to bleed through. The image of the watermark is therefore clearly visible. To allow time to study the watermark, Clarity was designed to evaporate slowly. It leaves no residue following evaporation.

Clarity contains no solvents, no CFCs, no HCFCs and will not affect inks, adhesives or taggents on the stamp. It is made from non-flammable, non-toxic and non-hazardous materials.
